The diatance is 6cm.
Distance from bharat and mirror is 5-2=3cm.
Image and mirror is also 3cm(only in case of plane mirror.)
So distance between bharath and image is 3+3=6

Concept:

The image distance and object distance are always equal for a plane mirror.

Given:

Distance of Bharath from plane mirror = 5cm

Find:

We need to determine the distance between Bharath and his image when he moves 2cm towards the plane mirror.

Solution:

A plane mirror is a mirror with a flat reflective surface. The angle of reflection for light rays striking a planar mirror is the same as the angle of incidence.

Here, 5 is the distance of Bharath from the plane mirror and 2 is the distance when he moves toward the plane mirror.

Therefore, Bharat and the mirror are separated by a distance of 5-2=3 cm.

The image distance and object distance are always equal for a plane mirror.

Each mirror and image measures 3 cm (only in the case of the plane mirror.)

Bharath and the image are therefore separated by 3+3=6cm.

Thus, the distance between Bharath and his image is 6cm.
