It is absolutely true Bholi evolved from a 'dump-cow to a 'masterpiece'. In this transformation, her education and loving teacher played a pivotal role.

Her teacher instilled in her self-confidence and conviction. With the passage of time she grew into a young woman. However, her pock marks stayed with her due to which her father could not find a match for her. However, her father managed to find a bridegroom for her. The bridegroom was many years older than Bholi and a widower! Bholi also had keep mum for the sake of her father’s happiness. The wedding day arrived. Mr. Bishamber, the bridegroom came to Bholi’s house for wedding. But when he saw the pock marks of Bholi, he said he would take rupees 5000/- as dowry. Mr. Ramlal, Bholi’s father pleaded to Mr. Bishamber to reconsider his decision; but he did not relent! It was at this time Bholi stunned everyone! She told her father she would not marry, Mr. Bishamber, who was greedy and inhumane. She said she would rather remain spinster than be married to a mean man. She decided she would spend the rest of her life teaching at the school where she had learnt so much.

This decision making on the part of Bholi proved she had enough confidence and decisiveness in her. Her teacher had turned her into a masterpiece.
