Answer: Bhupendra has 42500 rupees.

Let Bhupendra has 100% property in percentage.

Step 1- Total percentage of property given by him = 60%+20%=80%

Step 2- Rest of property at percentage = 100% - 80% = 20%

Step 3- He divided left over money equally between her two grandchildren

Now we have the money in percentage given to grandchildren=20%                     (By step 2)

Step 4- Each grandchild got money= 4250

so, both of them got= 4250+4250=8500

Step 5- 20% = 8500

           1% = 8500/20 = 425

Then 100% = 425*100 = 42500 [Answer}

Answer:

Bhupinder have Rs. 26562.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the money available with Bhupinder = X rs.

Money given to her Daughter = 60% of X = 0.6X

Remaining amount R = X - 0.6 X  = 0.4X ... (1)

20% of the remaining amount is given to her son and the rest is distributed equaly in her grandchildren.

i.e. 100-20 = 80% of the remaining amount is given to grandchildren.

∴ Amount received by both grandchildren = 80% of R  .... (2)

Let the amount received by each grandchild = Y = 4250 rs.

From equation 2 we get,

2Y = 0.8R .... (3)

Substituting value of R from equation 1, we get

2 Y  = 0.8 × 0.4X

2 × 4250 = 0.8 × 0.4 X

∴ X = 8500 / (0.8×0.4)

∴ X = 26562.5

Bhupinder have Rs. 26562.5
