Using the Bifilar suspension method, you can find the mass moment of inertia for anything or any object and at any point on it.
This is usually done to find out the moment of inertia of a drop wherein two cords that are parallel are suspended through the mass centre of the objects. As a result, it attains an angular displacement on the vertical axis.
However, the angular displacement is just by a minor angle through the centre of mass.
