The Big Bang Theory is just a hypothesis. It may or may not be true but the scientists think that it might have happened due to certain evidences:-
1. All the matter in the universe, stars, planets, galaxies, etc. are moving apart from each other. So, if we rewind the time then we can see that at some point of time, everything in the universe was at a small dense point.
2. There are microwave radiations everywhere in the universe, which might have formed by a very massive explosion.
3. There is a large abundance of elements around us which would have been possible only if every thing of the universe was at a small point and was under high pressure and heat.
4.There are lots of planets, stars and galaxies around the universe and they could be only formed due to a massive explosion.
