Bill has 24 numbers of 5$ bills.

Let the no of 10$ bill is x and no of 5 $ bill = y

So according to the given data,

x + y = 38...........eq1

and

10x + 5y = 260.............eq2

solving both the equations we get,

x = 14 & y = 24

Hence bill has 24 numbers of 5$ bills.

Define x:

Let the number of ten-dollars bill be x

The number of five-dollars bills is (38 - x)

Solve x:

The total value is $260

10x + 5(38 - x) = 260

10x + 190 - 5x = 260

5x + 190 = 260

5x = 70

x = 14

Find the number of notes:

Ten-dollars bill = x = 14

Five-dollars bill = 38 - x = 38 - 14 = 24

Answer: There are 24 five-dollars bills
