probability of Bill spinning a sum greater than 15

Solution:

                     8           4            2             1

      7            15           11           9             8

      9            17           13          11             10

      5            13           9            7             6

      3             11           7            5             4

There are total 16 possible out puts

Even sum are      8 , 10 , 6 ,  4     hence 4 favorable outcomes

probability of Bill winning  = 4/16  = 1/4

17 is the only sum greater than 15

Hence probability of Bill spinning a sum greater than 15  = 1/16
