#Above statement is wrong.

corrected: The water he drinks and the food he eats goes down through a same tube called as oesophagus.

#Facts to explain:

  1. our alimentary canal opens throughout buccal cavity or oral cavity which constitutes of teeths, tongue and salivary glands.
  2. the oral cavity than opens into the pharynx, which is a common passage for both food and air..
  3. there is the opening called gullet leads to oesophagus which is responsible for transport of food and water into stomach by various muscular movements.
  4. another if we have separate tubes for water and food ,then they should also enter into different stomachs...but that's not happening...

they are collected from same tube and enters into common canal called stomach.

hope it helps!
