Binary code is a way of representing data or text generated by computers or other devices in a stream of bits that are basically represented by 0’s and 1’s. Gray codes are non-weighted codes i.e., they do not have a weight to calculate their equivalent to a decimal.
The 7486 IC package has 4 independent positive logic XOR gates. The 14 and 17 pins provide power for all the 4 logic plates. The outputs of 1 gate can be connected to the input of another within the same or different chips that are in the same ground. The output is high when one of the inputs is high in the XOR GATE.
