Narendra Modi was born in Vadnagar Gujrat on September 17, 1950. His father's name is Damodardas Modi and mother's name is Hiraben. At the age of eight Modi joined the RSS, and began attending its local training sessions and played active role is serving society on several occasion including serving flood in Gujrat in 1967. He joined BJP in 2001 and was soon appointed as General Secretary of the Party for Gujrat, he later become the chief minister of Gujrat and served for 121/2 years before contesting election for PM position in 2014. On May 26, 2014 he was elected as 14th Prime minister of India. He has won various prestigious awards including Seoul peace award, CNN-INN Indian of the year to name few.
