equator receives the maximum sunrays and polar region receives minimum sunrays as heat is required for most of the animals and plants to live
as they are dependent on each other biodiversity increases away from polar region

This is because the climate is very very cold near the poles which prohibits vegetation to grow over there. While near the equator the climate becomes hotter allowing many fruits and vegetables to grow there. So as people get more food near the equator, the biodiversity generally increases away from the poles towards the equator.
