Because it contains many extremes.

It contains the highest point in the world, Mount Everest in China and Nepal.

It also contains the lowest point in the world, Dead Sea in Israel and Jordan.

The highest temperature recorded in Asia was in Israel at 54C.

The lowest temperature recorded was in Oymkayon, Russia at -72C.

It has an incredible diversity of climate, with rainforests in the southeast, desert in the west, mountains in the centre, fertile lands in the south and east, and tundra and grasslands in the north.

Not only in natural aspects, but social aspect as well.

It contains some of the world’s wealthiest countries, such as Japan, China, India, UAE, and also the world’s poorest, such as Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

It contains democratic countries, such as Japan and South Korea, and the least democratic countries, such as Laos and North Korea.

HEY MATE !

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER.

>>>>》Asia is known as the continent of contrast. As its clear from the word “contrast”, meaning ‘a striking difference’. Asia is huge continent spread over 44.8 million km sq., hence its inevitable it’ll have a varied versions of religions, culture, crafts etc, each of them having a different striking feature than the other. There are mixed economies like global economies and controlled economies. the variations in distribution of natural resources are also evident from the fact the oil reserves are in abundance in mid east while there is scarcity in areas of japan.

These reasons clearly states why Asia is the continent of contrast.
