dr. dwarkanath kotnis (full name dwarkanath shantaram kotnis) was born on 10 October 1910 in solapur , Maharashtra, India.he was also known by his Chinese name ke dihua .he was one of the five indian physician dispatched to China to provide medical assistance during the second sino japanese war in 1938 . he was dead in 9 December 1942 in the age of 32 in China.
