Mahasweta Devi (born 1926 , Bangladesh)  was a Bengali fiction writer, a social activist, a crusader for the tribal communities, and a feminist.
Mahasweta Devi worked as a journalist and an English professor.She has almost a 100 novels and over 20 collections of short stories to her name, primarily written in Bengali but often translated to other languages. She had completed her BA and MA in English in West Bengal."Jhansir Rani"(1956) Was her 1st book.Her masterpieces includes 'Draupadi', 'Haazar Churasi Kimau', 'Rudali',etc.
 She has been described as one of the boldest female writers in India.She was also the founding member of Aboriginal United Association
 Mahasweta Devi has won both the Sahitya Akademi ( in 1979) and Jnanpith ( in 1996) awards for literary excellence.She is also a recipient of the Ramon Magsaysay award ( in 1997) and the Padma Vibhushan (2006) and  Padamshri ( in 1986).

One of the greatest writer Mahasweta Devi, she was born on 14 Januay 1926 in Dhaka which is present on Bangladesh. She was novelist, she was a writer and social worker. Her father name was Manish Ghatak, he was an poet and novelist and her mother name was Dharitri Devi, she was writer and social worker. She has comleted her education from Viswabharati,Santiniketan by learning English Honours,M.A from Clacutta University.Mahasweta Devi has almost taken 100 novels and over 20 collection of short stories, her famous books like 'Hajar Churashir Maa', 'Rudali' and 'Titu Meri etc. She was social worker for the knights of Lodhas and Shabaan. She was awarded by Padmashri and Padmabhushan. By all this she left us on 20th July 2016.
