He was born in 1930 in a small village in a district named Guntur in Andhra pradesh.He received his Master's degree from Indian Agricultural Research Institute and then moved to U.S to do his Ph.D in cytogenetics from University of Kentucky , Lexington. five years of hard work at Kentucky Medical Center and then he moved to Houston. He received several awards in cell biology.
