The real name of Gautam Buddha was Siddhartha.He belong to a small gana known as Sakya gana, and he was Kshatriya . He was the founder of Buddhism. He was born about 2500 years ago. When he was young man he left home in search of knowledge .He wandered for several years. He find his own path of realization and meditation for days on end under a peeple tree in bodhgaya where he attained enlightenment. After attaining enlightenment Buddha went to Sarnath near Varansi , where he taught for first time . He passed away in kushinara
