Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela (1918-2013) was a south African anti-aprtheid revolutionary, politician and philanthropist, who served as the president of south Africa from 1994 to 1999.In December 1994,Mandela published Long walk to freedom, an autobiography he had witten in prison, augmented by interviews conducted with American journalist Richard Stengel. He swerved a very long jail term of 27 years, for raising his voice against the South African apartheid government and their racist policies against the natives.
