born on 15th august ,1926 in kolkata, sukanta bhattacharya  was a Bengali poet and play writer.his fathers name was, nibaran chandra bhattacharya and his mother was suniti devi. he had six sibblings. some of his works are Ghum Nei-1950,  Abhijan-1953, Giti Guccha - 1965 etc . he died on 13th may , 1947 when he was only twenty years old.
