Example :

A fish gets poisoned due to mercury poising in rivers.

The big fishes which eat small fish will also get poisoned as they are connected by food chain.

The fish eating birds will also be poisoned if they consume the poisoned big fishes.

Thus poison and toxin is increasing through the food chain.
