Answer:

Sujata have eaten 8 sweets

Step-by-step explanation:

Biphasa can eat 24 rasgullas in 12 minutes.

She can eat in 1 minute = 24/12 = 2

Sujata can eat 24 rasgullas in (12×2) minutes

She can eat in 1 minute = 24/24 = 1

They bought 24 rasgullas

In 1 minute = Bipasha = 2

                  = Sujata = 1

24 -(2+1) = 24 - 3 = 21

In 2nd minute = Bipasha = 2

                       = Sujata = 1

21 - (2+1) = 21 - 3 = 18

In 3rd minute = Bipasha = 2

                      = Sujata = 1

18 - (2+1) = 18 - 3 = 15

In 4th minute = Bipasha = 2

                      = Sujata = 1

15 - (2+1) = 15 - 3 = 12

In 5th minute = Bipasha = 2

                      = Sujata = 1

12 - (2+1) = 12 - 3 = 9

In 6th minute = Bipasha = 2

                      = Sujata = 1

9 - (2+1) = 9 - 3 = 6

In 7th minute = Bipasha = 2

                      = Sujata = 1

6 - (2+1) = 6 - 3 = 3

In 8th minute = Bipasha = 2

                      = Sujata = 1

3 - (2+1) = 3 - 3 = 0

The rasgullas are over.

No of sweets Sujata had eaten = 8

No of sweets Bipasha had eaten = 16

Short route↓

Biphasa can eat 24 rasgullas in 12 minutes.

She can eat in 1 minute = 24/12 = 2

Sujata can eat 24 rasgullas in (12×2) minutes

She can eat in 1 minute = 24/24 = 1

Both of them will eat (2+1 = 3) sweets in 1 minute

So, they will finish 24 sweets

24/3 = 8 minutes

Bipasha will eat (2×8 = 16) 16 sweets in 8 minutes

Sujata will eat (1×8 = 8) 8 sweets in 8 minutes.
