The evidence which proves that birds has evolved from the reptiles is that -

Earlier, the dinosaurs had feathers but it did not help them to fly. The function of feather was only to provide insulation. But as years and months passed by, it became beneficial for flight but in birds only. It seems that birds have adapted to use the feathers for flight.

So, this implies that birds are very much related to reptiles.
