So, the answer is:
Creatures that live on this very planet are born to live, survive, and grow. It is natural that all of us are born in an open environment and continue to live in it. A bird in a cage will only sing for it's owner even if it got all the necessities it wanted and of course, it will forget to fly. But, that's what wings are for.
Just like humans, birds like to take on risks and solve their on problems; they don't want pity and obviously don't want to be a puppet for the puppeteer. Birds want to live in their natural habitat and feel the need to be themselves.
I don't think, we, humans would like it if someone trapped us. Would we?
