Birth of a boy child is celebrated but not that of a girl child.why?suggest any two measures to bring the positive changes?

In society girls are very demanded because of some people prefer to born a boy child because of that the boy child will help them ,they thinks that girl child is born for refuse money ,those persons were think very badly, but some people are good that they want both a boy and a girl child.They give same preference to both of their child.
