adults. Taking number of children as x and total chocolates distributed as y, answer the
following questions:
(a) Form a linear equation.
(i) x = 4y + 28 (ii) y = 4x + 28 (iii) y = 4x - 28 (iv) x = 4y - 28
(b) Write this linear equation in standard form as ax + by + c = 0
(i) x - 4y - 28 - 0) (ii) 4x - y +28 - 0(iii) 4x - y - 28 - 0) (iv) x - 4y + 28 = 0
(c) What is the value of a, b and c respectively in sub-part (b)?
(i) 4, -1, 28 (ii) 1, -4,-28 (iii) 1,-1, -28 (iv) 1,-4, 28
(d) If she distributed 144 chocolates then how many children are there in the orphanage?
(i) 20
(ii) 30
(iii) 29
