black copper oxide turns brown copper when heated with hydrogen. why ? please help me fast​

CuO is black in colour. When hydrogen is passed over it, hydrogen displaces oxygen from oxide which restores the brown colour of the copper. Here, H2 acts as a reducing agent. Hence, option C is correct.
