Black discoloration drying of skin and edema of leg is common in Static dermatitis.

Explanation:

  • Static dermatitis is a condition caused by stasis of blood.
  • This condition is caused when the valves present in the veins of the lower limb collapses as a result blood in the lower extremity do not flow back to the heart.
  • As a result the muscles of the leg do not get sample amount of oxygen.
  • Due to this, these muscles get necrosed developing the black colouration. There is edema in the leg due to failure of return of the tissue fluid.
