Black is a colour and white is a colour then why the old TV(S) were not known as colour TV(S)???

because maybe it didn't show the colour of object or whatever thing is displaying on that TV

Colorful means that it can attach all the colours. We can say that old tv's are kown as black and white. But in modern there are all the attachment of colours.
