The reason is already explained before. When looking into stimluated emission signal do not look it in terms of population or concentration (which we generally do for bleach and excited state absorption). Instead concentrate on the transmitted/detected intensity strength. In presence of stimualted emission the transmitted emission intensity is stronger which makes the dA signal negative.
