Sulphur dioxide is a temporary bleaching agent, unlike Chlorine, which is a permanent bleaching agent! This is because the mechanism for bleaching is different: SO2-Reduction => TEMPORARY. Cl2-Oxidation => PERMANENT.

Hope it helps :)

HEYA MATE✌️✌️

Explanation:

Bleaching of flowers by chlorine is permanet, while that by sulphur dioxide is tempory. ... Hence, the bleaching is permanent. Whereas, sulphur dioxide, SO2 bleaches coloured material by reduction and hence bleaching is temporary.
