Before finding out the answer you have must know about the method of chlor - alkali in which which we get chlorine and alkali (NaOH)

SO, the equation from the above flowchart and the chlor - alkali is:-

NaOH + Ca(OH)2 + Cl2 = Ca(OCl)2 + NaCl + H2O

So, here we have to balance the chemical equation:-

2 NaOH + Ca(OH)2 + 2 Cl2 = Ca(OCl)2 + 2 NaCl + 2 H2O

The point to notice in the flowchart and equation:-

i) Calcium oxy Chloride (CaOCl2)

ii) The chlorine gas is released in brine is used to prepare bleach

therefore, after balancing we get:-

Ca(OH)2 + Cl2 ----> CaOCl2 + H2O

and the conclusion of this is : Bleach means same as Bleaching powder because both have same same the chemical name of bleaching powder is calcium hypochlorite Ca(OCl)2
