blessings of nature essay
Answer:
The greatest curse of modern civilization is that in the name of progress we have adopted materialism as our religion. We spend our time in getting and spending. William Wordsworth, the worshipper of nature, has sung about the blessings of nature giving a call, "Back to nature". The man must come out of materialistic whirlpool that is vicious. A life lived in the surroundings of nature is simple and humble. Materialism makes man adopt devious ways to succeed. Those living amidst nature are blessed with noble and exalted feelings. Sophis-ticated life in an urban area is far inferior to the one that we lead in midst of forests, mountain, rivers and other objects of nature. No doubt nature is op¬posed to all that is artificial in the modern civilization. Love for nature leads us away from suffocating materialism to the fresh atmosphere of forests and mountains. In fact love for nature is confined not only to physical aspect but also to the spiritual concept of life. It also stands for simplicities of life. Far from the madding crowd we come to see into the real meaning of life. We develop healthy respect for the dignity of the poor. We learn to glorify the innocence and simplicity of common man. It is only in the presence of nature that one develops love for animals that are the part and parcel of nature. Compassion for them is born in us. For a lover of nature there is interrelationship between man, God and nature. Such a realization is the nurse of all that is good and noble in man.
