The data showed that the very earliest megaliths come from north-western France, including the Carnac stones, a dense collection of rows of standing stones, mounds, and covered stone tombs - dolmens (below). These date to about 4700 B.C.E., when the region was inhabited by hunter-gatherers.
1) As per the Puranas and coins, they were described by different names such as Sātavāhanas, Sātakarnīs, and Andhrabhrityas. In the Deccan part of the Indian subcontinent, Satavahana followed the Mauryas. Their empire was built on the remains of the Maurya Empire and became the most powerful empire of that time.
