BLOCK MOUNTAINS
The Earth movements may sometimes result in the formation of cracks and fissures or
faults. The Earth's crust breaks along these faults into blocks. The weak zone along which
the crust breaks is called a fault line. They occur due to tensional forces. The crustal block
may either be uplifted or subsided along the fault line. Can this be a paragraph of formation of block montains and rift valleys

Three types of faults

Each type is the outcome of different forces pushing or pulling on the crust, causing rocks to slide up, down or past each other. ... Both the San Andreas and Anatolian Faults are strike-slip. Normal faults create space. Two blocks of crust pull apart, stretching the crust into a valley
