The vasectomy and tubectomy are two sterilization processes in males and females respectively.

Explanation:

  • Vasectomy is a medical surgical process in which the vasa deferentia in males is cut and tied. This process prevents the sperms to flow and enter the male urethra. Thus this process prevents the use of sperms to be utilized for sexual reproduction during sexual intercourse. But this process does not prevent the production of sperms. If no sperm will produce no fertilization will take place and no pregnancy will occur. This is the process is irreversible. The males subjected to vasectomy are sterile and impotent.
  • Tubectomy is a surgical procedure in females to prevent the contraception. In this process the fallopian tubes are cut and tied. This process blocks the flow of egg from the ovaries to the uterus. Thus if no egg will be available for fertilization no pregnancy will result. This process is also irreversible like vasectomy.
