My alarm clock was screaming at me to get up as I jumped out of bed on August 10th. When I realized what time it was my mind blew into a million pieces. I was finally going to be in high school, and I couldn’t believe the first day of my high school experience had finally come. I crawled out of bed and trotted into the kitchen to find my mom making eggs and asking if I was ready for high school. In his uniform ready for his first day of 4th grade, my brother, Blake, asked me lots of questions about my old school since his classes would be on the second floor now. Manuel’s, so we could walk to P.E. together. We put our locks on our lockers, then my locker seemed to start to taunt me because I couldn’t get the lock open. After that was physical science, where I received a textbook that only made my book sack heavier. Since I have first lunch, I would be able to go to lunch as soon as physical science was over, so when the bell rang I was sprinting out of the classroom to eat my lunch because I was so famished. It was decided that we were going to eat outside by the time I found my friends. All of the tables were taken, so we sat on the concrete in front of the math building. As I was opening my lunch box, I did not know what to expect because my mom packed my lunch. It was a ham sandwich, exactly what I was in the mood for. We finished eating our delicious lunches, then we went hang out in the mall. Feeling like they were going to bust, my eardrums could not handle how loud it was in the mall. After lunch, I went to my algebra class where we had to solve an equation to find out where we sit. Four of my friends are in that class, and we all ended up sitting next to each other! Religion was the next class on my schedule, which required me to walk all the way from one end of the school to the other. It was a race between me and the bell, in which I barely made it in time. I was so nervous I wasn’t going to get to class on time not only once, but twice as I walk from religion to Spanish, where the two classes are on completely
