Blood is red then why veins looks blue ??

there are two types of blood vessels. 'arteries' and 'veins'. arteries are found deep inside the body, while veins can be found just beneath the skin. arteries carry oxygenated blood (blood containing oxygen) from the heart to the whole body, the body absorbs the oxygen and sends the deoxygenated blood (blood not containing oxygen) back to the heart through the veins. as the blood is deoxgenated, it appears dark red. thus, the veins appear blue.
