Both blood and a river are liquid. In an organism, blood flows throughout the body transporting nutrients, oxygen and carrying away wastes. It is a tissue composed mainly of water with cells suspended in it.

Yes blood is the river of life. Because blood contains a red pigment hemoglobin which is a carrier of oxygen throughout our body. And oxygen is our life. Without it we cannot survive.
