Blue vitriol solution is not kept in iron vessel.Give reason

Answer:

Blue Vitriol also known as copper sulfate is not kept in iron vessels because iron being more reactive than copper displaces it form copper sulfate forming ferrous sulfate and copper. Thus, displacement reaction will take place causing the formation of a new sulfate product which we don't want.
