Given: Bob has a box of 14 origami papers out of which 5 are red in colour, 6 are blue in colour and 3 are black in colour

To find: every selection to have at least 1 black paper and at least 1 blue paper

Solution:

Total papers= 14

To find at least 1 black paper = 1 - None

1 - selection of all papers except black

1 - 11c1/ 14c1 = 3/14

To find at least 1 blue paper = 1 - None

1 - selection of all papers except blue

1 - 8c1/14c1 = 3/7

selection to have at least 1 black paper and at least 1 blue paper = 3/7 into 3/14 = 9/98

every selection to have at least 1 black paper and at least 1 blue paper will be 9/98.
