Answer :-

In last bob kept 1 pencil with him .

So, Pencil bob has before, giving to third friend is :-

→ x - (x/2 + 2) = 1

→ x/2 - 2 = 1

→ x/2 = 3

→ x = 6 .

similarly, Pencil bob has before, giving to second friend is :-

→ x - (x/2 + 2) = 6

→ x/2 - 2 = 6

→ x/2 = 8

→ x = 16 .

therefore, Pencil bob has before, giving to first friend is :-

→ x - (x/2 + 2) = 16

→ x/2 - 2 = 16

→ x/2 = 18

→ x = 36 (Ans.4)
