Bob want to cover the floor of a room 3m wide and 4m long by squared tiles. if each square tile is of 0.5m , then find the no of tiles required to cover the floor of the room

Length (L)         = 4 m = 400 cm

Breadth (B)       = 3 m = 300 cm

Area                  = L x B = 400 x 300 = 120000 sq.cm

Side of sq. tiles = 0.5 m = 50 cm

Area                   = S x S

                          = 50 x 50 = 2500 sq.cm

No. of tiles         =  120000 / 2500

                          = 48 tiles
