and ratio of kinetic energy of A to B = 125/9
To determine the ratio of velocities of A to B
We know kinetic energy is expressed as
1/2 mv² ----(A)
Now according to question
K.E₁ : K.E₂ = 125 : 9
Reducing A in the above equation
{1/2 m₁v₁²}/{1/2 m₂v₂²} = 125/9
v₁²/v₂²= 125/(9×5) =25/9
Thus
v₁ : v₂ = 5 : 3
