We have to solve the question using BODMAS

So the question is what is BODMAS?

BODMAS is equal to ⇒

  • B ⇒ Brackets
  • O ⇒ Of
  • D ⇒ Division
  • M ⇒ MUltiplication
  • A ⇒ Addition
  • S ⇒ Subtraction

Whenever we are solving a question we have to go in order of BODMAS.

So for this question, we have to solve it like this -

45 - [38 - {60 ÷ 3 – (6 - 9 ÷ 3) ÷ 3}]

So first we have to solve the simple brackets.

In the simple bracket, we solve division first and then subtraction.

45 - [38 - {60 ÷ 3 – (6 - 3) ÷ 3}]

45 - [38 - {60 ÷ 3 – 3 ÷ 3}]

Now we have to solve the curly bracket.

In the curly bracket, we solve division first and then subtraction.

45 - [38 - {20 – 1}]

45 - [38 - 19]

Now we have to solve the box bracket.

Since there is only one operation, subtraction, we solve it directly.

45 - 19

Now only one operation left, subtraction, so we just solve it.

45 - 19 = 26

∴ 45 - [38 - {60 ÷ 3 – (6 - 9 ÷ 3) ÷ 3}] = 26
