body is accelerated in direction of a motion explain with example
Answers
Example A, the object is moving in the positive direction (i.e., has a positive velocity) and is speeding up. When an object is speeding up, the acceleration is in the same direction as the velocity.
Not necessarily... Suppose if u are in a bus and it is in motion..Then u will be at rest even if you Are standing... So its relative
An object doesn't changes it's state unless an external force is applied on it.
Which is a flashy way of saying if you place something at rest it will stay at rest and if something is moving it will keep on moving unless someone or something stops it.
Now his second law,
F = m * a
Force is mass times acceleration.
But acceleration is the change in velocity per unit time. Now define a change in velocity. Well… people will say it's change in displacement with time and they're not wrong.
Velocity is movement or motion. When velocity is constant, the object is at rest ( v = 0 ) or the object is at motion at constant speed. As long as the object is at a same state, the velocity also stays constant.
So velocity changes only when the object changes it's state of motion which is possible only due to any external force. Seems familiar?? That's Newton's first law right there.
