(i)Volume of the body = 1000 cm3 = 1000 × 10-6 m3 = 10-3 m3
(ii) Upthrust on the body = Volume of the water displaced × Density of water × g
= 10-3 m3 × 1000 × 10
= 10 N
Here. the weight of the object = 3.5 kg× 10 = 35 N
(iii) Apparent weight = True weight - Upthrust
= 35 N - 10N
Apparent weight = 25 N
