The final momentum is 100kgms

Given :

Mass of the body = 8kg

Linear Momentum = 20/kgm

Change in Kinetic energy = 600j

To find :

The final momentum

Solution:

We know,

Kinetic energy = 1/2mv^2

=> 600 = 1/2 × 8 × v^2

=>600 = 4 × v^2

=> 600/4 = v^2

=> 150 = v^2

=> \sqrt{(150) }  = v \\ =>12.25 = v

Also we know,

momentum(p) = mass × velocity

=> p = 8 × 12.25

Therefore p = 98(almost 100)

Therefore the value of final momentum is 100kgms.
