Bohr models of atoms A,B,C are given (symbols are not real) (a) write the atomic number,mass number and electronic configuration of the atoms. (b) among these, which are isotopes? Why?

Answer:

(a) Atomic number = 6 for A, 7 for B and 6 for C.(as atomic number is number of protons is equal to number of electrons)

Mass number = 12 for A, 15 for B and 14 for C(as mass number = number of protons + number of neutrons)

Electronic configuration: 2,4 for A, 2,5 for B and 2,4 for C

(b) among these A and C are isotopes because isotopes has same atomic number but the mass number are not same
