Thus, the bond angle of PH3 molecule is lesser than that in NH3 molecule. The bond pair in NH3 is close to N in N-H bond than the bond pair in P-H bond in PH3 . This is because the size of the nitrogen is small than phosphorus . ... Therefore the bond angle in PH3 molecule lesser than in NH3 .
