Angle in water is 104.5°
it is because of two lone pairs present in the bond. Due to lone pair the geometry of water become distorted. Geometry should be tetrahedral but because of repulsion from lone pair it becomes bent and angle is less

Hey there!!

The hybridisation of H2O is sp3...

So a molecule having sp3 hybridisation has a tetrahedral regular geometry...

But there are two lone pair present on oxygen... Which causes repulsion.. And makes the angle less...

So it's geometry become v-shaped or bent shaped

Therefore, instead of having a bond angle of 109.5° ...it have an angle of 104.5°..

# hope it helped!
