The NF3 bond angle is 102°. There is more distortion than forNH3 because the single bondsare taking up less room, close to the nitrogen. Fluorine is moreelectronegative than hydrogen and the electron density in the N–F bond is skewed towards the fluorine. The CH4 bond angle is 109.5°.
